1932/33 Vintage Duolian

This is one of those ebay finds. It was just a body and coverplate. It looks to be from around 1932/33 since the coverplate has ribs, but no evidence of the short-lived hooks.

The body and coverplate of this 12-fret Duolian still retains the original, classic, “green” frosted duco finish. But, somewhere along the way it had lost its neck. So I built a new 12-fret mahogany, slot-head, neck with a solid ebony fretboard and ivoroid position markers. Along with the neck, it is assembled with a vintage cone and biscuit. Plus a new tailpiece from National Reso-Phonic and vintage style tuners from StewMac.
